Photoshop has extremely wide and deep functionality

Hence, it is extremely complicated

However, basic workflow is fairly easy

My basic workflow, for images to be printed

• Crop (crop tool)
• Levels (cntrl-L)
• Curves (cntrl-M), or
• Shadow/Highlight (Images/Adjustment/)
• Color Balance (if needed)
• Sharpening

Other functions may include clone tool, dodge/burn, blur, type, etc.
