Unlimited manipulation of images is possible in Photoshop

Putting a person's head on a donkey is not my cup of tea, but I do occasionally remove distracting objects and do touch-up on portraits

The ethics of digital manipulation is a matter of much discussion and debate

But it comes down to what representation the photographer makes; i.e., the issue generally goes away if it is done openly

Manipulation by photojournalists is a no-no

Touch-up by portraitists is a matter of survival
