One of the juvenile ospreys that I'll call "Big Sister," which I think is a female and
seemed to be dominate of the pair (and probably hatched first), flew first on Wednesday
(May 6) or Thursday. The other, which I think is a male, ("Little Brother") flew first on
Friday, May 8, going to a nearby light pole
where it stayed for over two hours, afraid to
jump off.  It finally did after some encouragement
from Big Sister.
