Red-tailed Hawk Encounter

This encounter between male and female red-tailed hawks was observed from the cliff at Torrey Pines State Reserve. The second image is an enlargement of the first, showing detail of the female. The third and fourth are the female in rapid sequence, under one second. The male continued more or less on his initial path, and the two were well separated by the time of the fourth image.
